Here’s a step-by-step guide to resetting your Facebook password:


 On the Facebook Mobile App (iOS/Android):


Step 1. Open the Facebook App

  •   Tap the Facebook icon to launch the app.


Step 2. Tap “Forgot Password?”

  •   On the login screen, tap Forgot Password? under the password field.


Step 3. Enter Your Phone Number or Email

  •   You’ll be prompted to enter the phone number or email address associated with your account.
  •   Type in your email or phone number and tap Search.


Step 4. Select Your Account

  •   Facebook will show you a list of accounts associated with the entered phone number or email.
  •    Select your account from the list (if applicable).


Step 5. Choose a Method to Reset Password

  •   Facebook will offer options to send a password reset code to your email or phone number.
  •   Select your preferred method and tap Continue.


Step 6. Enter the Security Code

  •  Check your email or phone for the security code sent by Facebook.
  •  Enter the code into the app and tap Continue.


Step 7. Create a New Password

  •  Once the code is verified, you’ll be prompted to create a new password.
  • Enter a new password (make sure it’s strong and unique) and tap Continue.


Step 8. Log Back In

  •  After setting the new password, you’ll be logged into your Facebook account.

 On Facebook Website (Desktop or Browser):


Step 1. Go to the Facebook Login Page

Step 3. Enter Your Email or Phone Number

  • You’ll be prompted to enter your email or phone number associated with your Facebook account.

 If You Don’t Have Access to Your Email or Phone:


Step 1. Follow the Above Steps Until You Get to “Choose a Method to Reset Password”

  • When you’re asked to choose where to send the reset code, click No longer have access to these?.


Step 2. Enter a New Email or Phone Number

  • Facebook will guide you through the process of verifying your identity by entering a new email address or phone number where they can contact you.


Step 3. Identity Verification

  • You may need to answer security questions or upload a form of ID to confirm your identity.


Step 4. Follow Additional Steps

  • Once verified, Facebook will allow you to reset your password and log into your account.
